DF Electric in HANNOVER MESSE 2009

DF ELECTRIC has been one of the 6,150 exhibittors from 61 different countries in HANNOVER MESSE 2009,the world's largest and most important showcase for industrial technology. From 20 to 24 April, DF ELECTRIC launched new industrial products for electric and electronic protection:

RAPIDPLUS gR. Protection against overload and short circuit. Rated voltage 690V AC (440V DC L/R = 10 ms). Rated breaking capacity 100 kA.

PMX Modular fuse holders. New modular fuse holder for 22x58 cylindrical fuses. Provides a safety margin against a possible overheating of the fuse, and when it exceeds the rated
power acceptance of the fuse holder. PMX Fuse holder is one of the most complete product in the market.

PV Fuse links and fuse holders. They have been developed to offer a compact, safety and economic protection solution in photovoltaic installations where due to the increase of the power and technologic evolution, no-load voltages up to 900V DC.

PMX industrial modular fuse holders

DF ELECTRIC launches its new modular fuse holder for 14x51 and 22x58 cylindrical fuses.

The main features that offer the new are:

• Available in a extended range of different versions with fuse indicator, with microswitch, 690V, 24 V DC, Microswitch FUSING+PRE-BREAKING+FUSE LINK DETECTION
• Accessory available to lock the fuse holder by a padlock
• IP20 Security accessory in Terminal zones. For wires of section ≤10 mm2
• All the versions with label holder for a good circuit identification
• Compact design
• Accessories for Multiple poles assembly for fuse holders and Microswitch
• Ventilation zones optimized for a better heat dissipation
• 2 position DIN Rail fixation
• Made of a polymer high performance with a fusion temperature more than 300 °C. This provides a safety margin against a possible overheating of the fuse, and when it exceeds the rated power acceptance of the fuse holder.
• The PMX fuse holder can be fixed/ unfixed on DIN rail with the same screwing tools that the installer uses for cable terminal fixing, regardless the screw driver head is in form of slot or PZ2.
• PMX Fuse holder is made of halogen free plastic, prepared for future restrictions on these substances.

All these features make the new PMX Fuse holder one of the most complete product in the market.

Fuse links and fuse holders for photovoltaic applications

PHOTOVOLTAIC

Photovoltaic, or PV for short, is a technology that converts light directly into electricity. Photovoltaic is also the fi eld of study relating to this technology and there are many research institutes devoted to work on photovoltaic.

Due to the growing need for solar energy, the manufacture of solar cells and solar photovoltaic array has expanded dramatically in recent years. Photovoltaic production has been doubling every two years, increasing by an average of 48 percent each year since 2002, making it the world’s fastest-growing energy technology. At the end of 2007, according to preliminary data, cumulative global production was 12,400 megawatts.

Financial incentives, such as preferential feed-in tariffs for solar-generated electricity and net metering, have supported solar PV installations in many countries including Germany, Japan, and the United States.

SOLUTIONS FOR PHOTOVOLTAIC INSTALLATIONS

DF ELECTRIC launch a new photovoltaic modular fuse holder and fuse Pv for photovoltaic applications.

The first feature that this news products offers, is the assigned voltages, in one hand the fuse holder with 1000 V DC and in the other hand the fuse with 900 V DC. They have been developed to offer a compact, safety and economic protection solution in photovoltaic installations where due to the increase of the power and technologic evolution, no-load voltages up to 900V DC.

The fuses can be also used meet the requirements for instruments (multimeters) and traction equipment auxiliary circuits.
